Federico Quaranta parte dal lago di Como, nel comune di Lecco, per arrivare alle cime del Resegone, indagando nel cammino il rapporto di Alessandro Manzoni con i luoghi in cui ambienta il primo romanzo italiano, I Promessi Sposi e si ferma proprio nel borgo di Acquate dove lo scrittore aveva immaginato potessero vivere Renzo e Lucia. Federico Quaranta sets out from Lecco, on the shores of Lake Como, to the peaks of the Resegone mountain, investigating along the way the relationship between the great author Alessandro Manzoni and the places where he set the first Italian novel, I Promessi Sposi (The Betrothed), and stops at the village of Acquate where Manzoni imagined Renzo and Lucia might live.
