Il fattore umano Canadian purgatory - Original language

St 202247 min
The recent tragic discovery of hundreds of bodies of children and young people buried near Canadian Residential Schools has shocked the world, bringing to light the terrible abuses committed in boarding schools for natives, mostly Catholic boarding schools, where children were transferred with the aim of assimilating them into western culture, making them lose all contact with their own language and families of origin. This reportage features the natives who populate the suburbs of large Canadian cities, living in conditions of great social marginalisation. Canadian writer Michel Jean, of Amerindian origin, will tell us about the lives of his innu ancestors who have become the protagonists of his books, and also about his personal journey in search of his own origins. The reportage by Raffaele Manco and Irene Sicurella.
